need some advise please My poor son?

scraped the inside of his mouth with something. I am unsure what but it is all the way back where it is really hard to see. he will be one next week and I feel like a bad mother that this has happened but i cant be everywhere at once. Anyway he done this last night an I have been giving him regular panadol to help with the pain but he has gone of his bottle, he just doesnt want it at all. He will drink water from his cup and today i brought some complan it says on it that it shouldnt be used for children less then 12mths. BUT he drinks it out of a cup and im thinking it has alot of vitamins etc and that in it.

SO MY QUESTION IS

Should i give it to him as he is a week of turning one or just keep trying his bottle of formula(he wont even drink it out of a cup either)

Sorry it is so long thanks for your comments.

I would stick to the bottle formula for now, if he begins to lose weight at an irregular rate then switch him over. If he still refuses to eat go see your pediatrician I know there are some over the counter ointments that can actually help him ease the pain and eat but I can't recall their specific names.

I once had a case where a 4 yr old boy had chewed his tongue raw after being numbed at the dentist's office. Now that was a bad mother because she was told to specifically keep her child from chewing up his tongue and she ignored the warning. You don't sound like a bad mother, kids just hurt themselves sometimes.
