Should I go active duty or reserve-USMC?
I am still having trouble deciding on whether or not I want to go in as active or reserve. I definitely want to go to college and would like to be somewhat close to home for a year or so after I graduate but at the same time I like the idea of traveling and being a full time Marine and then going to school after 4 years but then again I want to get the whole "college experience" How is the "party life" as a Marine? and How should I make this decision. I don't want to go to college first and go in as an officer though I like the benefits I would prefer to go in as enlisted...oh and how can I get my parents to consent to DEP?

Im contemplating joining the marines as well!
I almost have a BA degree in communications, so I dd the college thing, and athletics, and enjoyed it an think it was worth it.
with that said, i definetly want to enlist in the marines as enlisted first, then go officer if i choose to...
there are a lot of options to take paths of reserves while doing college etc...you should really go talk to a recruiter. they may seem scary, but know that you dont have to sign anything!!! its just getting information...ask lots of questions and good luck!
