Was your beta level much higher for your 2nd child then for your first child? Did you find out sooner with your 2nd then your first?

My level is kinda high for just being 4 weeks pregnant. Its MUCH higher for his pregnancy than in my last one.  (I was pregnant with twins last night. 1 vanished in the first 8 weeks) So I was just wondering.

What is the chances that I am pregnant with Twins again and its a better and lasting twin pregnancy?

From my experience...I have 4 children ages 8-2 months. 2 of them are girls. I noticed that with my girls I got very quick positive pregnancy tests much earlier then when i was pregnant with my sons. They say u notice much more severe pregnancy symptoms and get a positive result quicker with female babies because of the extra hormone levels from u and your baby girl...I got pregnant with twins in 04' which was my second pregnancy, I sadly miscarried them both at 7 1/2 weeks..I asked m,y doctor the same question about me getting pregnant with twins again (they run in my family). He told me my chances are not that high, like 1 in thousands. I have had 3 more children after that miscarriage and never got pregnant with twins again. It is possible but the chances dont increase because u got pregnant with them previously. The higher hormone levels could indicate that u are carrying more then one, who knows. The only thing that would be able to tell is an extra heartbeat or ultrasound. Good luck to you and Congrats on the new baby!

I think each pregenacy is different I was pregnant with twins and didn't find out i was pregnant until 5 weeks along. Sometimes you have higher beta levels with one even if it's a single pregenacy.
