I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I'm having really bad stomach cramps. What's wrong?

Been having them for about 5 weeks now. My doc said that I need to drink more water and they'll go away, but I don't think that's the case. I drink enough water. Any ideas?

Don't listen to everyone telling u that its ur uterus growing. At 7 weeks its not growing @ a rapid pace just yet to feel any pain. U won't notice that till ur second trimester. I listened to ppl telling me that too back in april when I was about 6ish/7ish weeks. Little did I kno I was miscarrying. My body didn't actually kno till I was supposed to be 11 weeks that's when I started having weird tightening pains so I went to the er and they did an ultra sound. Baby had stopped growing @ 8 weeks 2 days. Go to the doctors if u are worried. I wish I would have and could have avoided all the pain thinking I was doing so good

Keep track of how much you are hydrated. Trust me - dehyrdated and pregnancy are enemies of each other.

That being said, go to the doctor today. Demand that you are checked out. While some cramping is normal, if they are getting worse and/or you are spotting, you need to have an ultrasound to ensure that you aren't having a miscarriage.

Same thing happened to me and I thought I was drinking enough. The Dr. told me to drink more so I did and the cramps didn't come back.

Well you never know what it is --- If I were you I would go to the ER. But only if the cramps unbearable. If there light then stay home. Pregnant woman can get cramps I still get them and im 30wks.

Try to drink hot tea or herb tea they usually work on relaxing you, if that is your first baby you might been nerves about it and your body acting in a way to protect the little thing. relax and light some candles while you watching a funny movie with your man

i did not get any at that stage. if doc thinks you are fine, then you must be. unfortunately there isn't much you can do at that early a stage. you just have to wait it out and see how it goes. of course you should go to the docs to get HCG and progesterone levels checked out through a blood test. and your vaginal ultrasound should be coming up too!

Its just a pregnancy process. If you didn't have cramps then worry. This just means everything is fine. Don't worry. I hope you feel better and that my answer helps.

Source(s): I read what to expect when expecting. Maybe you should read it too.

They're normal, i've been having that too but as long as you don't bleed then you should be okay. If you're still not sure call and talk to your doctor.
