Found baby rabbits, can someone help me asap please?
My aunt found 4 baby rabbits whose eyes haven't even opened yet. There are no signs the mother has been back for them at all. We believe she was hit by a car. I called the Michigan Humane Society and they said if we took the rabbits there they would get put to sleep. I went online to michigandnr.com/dlr and www.michigan.gov/dnr and called a bunch of numbers and everyone says they can't take the rabbits and good luck to me. I lost my job and have no money or resources to rehabilitate these rabbits myself and neither does anyone I know. My aunt has a pitbull who has killed small animals like rabbits and rats before so it only a matter of time before the dog finds them. We live in Clinton Twp., Michigan. Does anyone know what to do?

The mom rarely visits her babies... just once or twice a day she'll stop by to nurse them. Are the babies still pink? Can you see white tummies? The white is milk. The mom rarely visits to keep predators from knowing where the babies are.
Call vets that do exotic animals. If the vet doesn't do rabbits, ask for someone who does. There are people who will take these rabbits.
Go to this site, they have forums and vet locaters: http://www.bunspace.com/

alright here i go xD. Well first things first, if the cat attacked it, OR the dog attacked it...its probably fatal unless treated--You did the right thing by treating it but what did you treat the wound with? and the dogs and cats claws are a breeding ground for bacteria because they are walking on different substances and what not.f I think if you really want the rabbit to live call the vet or even bring the rabbit to the vets and if your going to keep it in the future i suggest you keep it as a pet because it wil probably not survive in the wild once you are providing it with food and confort, so what im saying is you cant just all of a sudden one day bring it back to the wild because it will die =/ (no fofense if i ofended u) so bring it to the vet or call the vets.

Mother rabbits do NOT stay with their young the way that other mammals do. They visit them only once or twice a day to nurse, and they are alone the rest of the time. Its best chance of survival is to be put back exactly where it was found as they were more than likely NOT abandoned. The care of wild baby rabbits is different than domestics, and they are very very very delicate. Almost all (around 90%) die in captivity very quickly. Their chances are much much much better in the wild.

is there anyone who would buy some milk and a bottle for you to feed the babies.. if you did than you could go to a pet shop and buy milk for baby rabbits and a bottle to feed them. be sure to keep them warm wrap them in a old towel ,blanket or put them in a box with a light far enough away to keep them warm but not be to hot for them.

dont starve yourself to save them
