Celtics trade to the Pistons?

Celtics offered Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo to the Pistons for Tayshun Prince and Rip Hamilton. Is this a bad trade for the Cs? I think it will ruin their chances for the future with Rajon playing at an All-Star level and Ray Allen with 2 good years left in him for Tayshun who is a great defensive player but is getting old, and the same for Rip Hamilton.

i think that it would have been a great move for the celtics, but it was smart for the pistons to decline it. they would have gotten an upgrade with ray allen, and an upgrade with rondo, but they would have lost a very important player to their franchise in tayshun prince.

i think that the celtics tried to pull one off there, and if detroit did accept that trade, the next to go would have been paul pierce and kg later in the season, but it didnt fall like that.

Well the Pistons already declined it...

Tayshaun Prince, Rip Hamilton, and Rodney Stuckey are great players, and Ray Allen is getting old. He is the oldest player out of this trade, so how come Tayshaun and Rip are getting old but he isn't to you? Tayshaun is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, Rip has that catch and shoot style like Ray Allen, and Rodney Stuckey is also a developing point guard just like Rondo. This would have been a terrible trade for the Pistons to accept.

Sounds more like a bad trade for the Pistons. Allen doesn't have many years left in him, so I look at it more like Rondo for Prince and Hamilton, which isn't even a honest offer.

The Celtics would be complete fools to trade Rajon Rondo. He is a future all star and is only going to get better. I will lose a ton of respect for Boston if they let go of Rondo after all he has done and accomplished for the team.

HAHAHA Bad trade for the Celtics??? The Pistons will have nothing left but Rondo, and the 15th pick(Allen is pretty much done). I'm so glad we said NO! That would have been worse than the Pau-Kwame Trade....

I think this is a bad trade for the pistons! It would make the celtics the best team in the east again.
