It is best to wait until the litter kittens are weaned to spay the mother. The kittens will start to eat solid food at eight weeks and by that time the mammary glands and the uterus of the mother won´t be swollen, making the procedure easier and safer.

She can be spayed when the kits are about 8 weeks old. But she has to be kept inside and away from any unneutered male. She can breed and get pregnant when nursing kittens and can do so within a few weeks of delivering the kittens.

After her babies are weaned would be a good time to get her spayed. You can have her done when the kittens are 8 weeks of age.

I have a cat of my own and we had to get her fixed. Her name was Dory and we had to wait till her kittens were gone to a different home unless if we was keeping some. Then after a week or two we set up a appointment.

Keep her and the kittens away from other cats (strictly) until they are weaned. Then have her fixed.
