The eclipse begins on the evening of 5th August at 7.04 p.m. EDT, the middle of the eclipse is at 8.39 p.m. and the eclipse ends at 10.14 p.m.

But it is of academic interest only because this will be a penumbral eclipse with the Moon only entering the outer half of the Earth's outer shadow. This will mean that the shading on the Moon will be insufficient to be detectable with the naked eye. It will look no different to an ordinary full moon.

The upcoming lunar eclipse will hardly be noticeable, since the moon will only partly enter the outer edge of Earth's shadow (the penumbra). So a small part of the southern edge of the moon will appear a little dimmer than normal, but that's all.

It will be start at 23:01 UTC on Aug 5, will end at 2:17 UTC on Aug 6.

UTC is the Universal Time. The US east coast is UTC-5, so 23:01 UTC is 18:01 Eastern Time.
