How does one accidentally text the 'wrong' person?

I was just wondering what has to happen for someone to accidentally send a text to a person that they didnt intend to send that text to. I mean, I'm sure its going to depend on the phone and the exact set-up/interface/how you actually send a text on that particular phone.

The reason I ask is that this girl keeps sending me texts that 'supposedly' were meant for someone else, and I dont know what to make of it. When I reply back telling her that she's sent it to the wrong person, she usually asks me something, or comments or something else, trying to get a further response/reply from me.

So, could you accidentally text the wrong person if you were reading a text in your inbox and then replied to that somehow thinking you were replying to another, or

I guess, if you just clicked the wrong person's name accidentally/subconsciously when you were selecting the recipient?

Do any girls out there employ this sly tactic?

I'm pretty sure that she's doing this on purpose to talk to you, I think you've got an admirer ; )

i dont use that tactic but ive actually done that and it was cause my phone went to recent people and i sent a text to my ex that was meant for some other guy and then i got a diff phone and i meant to send a text to my bff that i was talking to about my ex and i accidently sent it to my ex cause his name was before hers in the phone book and i thought i clicked down and i was half asleep.. So ive had it happen..It wasnt a tactic for me though...Lol but i guess it could be a good tactic if u really wanted to know something from someone or how someone feels.

well it is possible.. i often do it by accident when im thinking of another person when I send my text. Or sometimes I click too quickly and it automatically sends to my most recent recipient. So it is possible she's doing it by accident. But it sounds like she just wants to talk to you, but doenst know how to start a convosation. If you like her, text her first.. she'll soon get the idea :)

One doesn't, it just doesn't happen.
