Is it ok to have something inside of a tire? Something moves around inside Asanti Lexan wheel when i roll it.?
I am selling some Asanti rims with Lexani tires on them. They are off the car. Something is rolling around inside one of the tires when I roll it around -- perhaps a lug nut or something. The other 3 tires don't seem to have this problem. Is this a problem that I can ignore, or do I need to have someone open it and remove the object? Thank you. -- Corey Chambers on eBay coreychambers.com

To be safe, take the wheel to the garage and ask the mechanic to put it on the tyre press, and look inside, they should do this for free if you ask nicely. Otherwise there shouldn't be much of a problem. If it were me, I would consider taking it down to my local garage and have them inspect the tyre for any internal damage.

I really doubt it's a lug nut, more likely a piece of valve stem from when he tires were mounted if you got new valve stems. Some shops will pull the valve stem through the hole and the back side of the stem will break off. I doubt it would cause any trouble if it is a piece of valve stem, but to be on the safe side, I'd have whatever it is removed.

You should have the object removed as the wheel will be unbalance and can cause vibrating or a noise while driving.
