With iPhoto, how do you take the mirror image of a pic?
I took a picture of something with words on it using the computer so I need the mirror image of it to make it readable. How do you do this with a Mac? I only have iPhoto

Well you can't use iPhoto, but you can do it in Preview which is another built-in application. Find the original photo or extract it to the desktop from iPhoto, then open it with Preview.
Once there, select "Tools>Flip Horizontal" from the top bar. Then hit Save, and your original file will be replaced with the new one.

That's "non-destructive editing". With the "flipped (mirrored)" image visible in Preview, under File, select Save As... a JPEG at fairly high (or even highest) quality and save it to the desktop (for easier access). Quit Preview. Launch iPhoto. Drag the modified image (you saved to the desktop) to the iPhoto Library or album you want.
