Real Contractions VS False labor?
OK... I'm having a hard time telling if they are real or not. I never really had labor with my son. He was born at 31 weeks (all back labor) via emergency C Section. I am 28 weeks and 2 days right now. Getting scared that I am in for another preemie...
What does a contraction feel like? My tummy isn't getting super hard. BUT it does hurt and feels like really strong PMS cramps. I'm not really sure how and where to time it... All suggestions will be helpful. Thanks!

Braxton Hicks contractions are tightenings across the uterus and are not painful. This is the uterus getting ready for the real thing. Real contractions start pulling at the cervix and you'll know the difference;-) As they progress the pain will get worse. Really strong type cramps could be the real deal if they start, get worse and then release over and over every 2 - 30 minutes. If you're concerned about premature labor then you need to call your doctor right now. He'll be on call or someone else from his office and will talk to you about your symptoms and make the decision whether or not you should come on down to the hospital. Don't mess around with this sister, call your doctor now. If you're going into premature labor they can give you medication to stop the labor so the baby can go full term.

For me if I wasn't already having contractions while I had intercourse it could simplest convey on fake contractions. When I had my first baby, I used to be having contractions and used to be already three cm however caught there. I had intercourse and it made the contractions more potent for a brief interval of time which helped hard work development a few.
