Will laxative abuse affect the absorbtion of medications?
Today I was prescribed medication (fluoxetine and Epilim) and am wondering if my laxative abuse will make it difficult for my body to absorb them? Don't just tell me to stop taking the laxatives because I know I have to and I am trying.

Absolutely. Medications are absorbed through the digestive system. You're speeding this process and making the absorption rate less adequate.
