General vegetables in a heathy drink?
I made a puree of raw carrot, parsnip, beet, apple, and celery today, in a vegetable stock. Everything was raw. Very tasty! Does anyone know which vegetables are beneficial for certain areas of our bodies?
I have eaten very badly for all of my life (51 years), and want to get good nutrients in the best possible manner. Any nutritionists out there who can guide me in a decent path with raw foods?

Basically my motto is "If it comes from a plant, and it's in raw form - it's good for you." I'm not a vegan, but I do love my fruits and veggies!
There's an excellent book my boyfriend swears by called "The Thrive Diet" where the author breaks down every fruit, vegetable, oil, nut, etc... and rates them for their nutritional value AND their ability to be absorbed by the body. You should check it out. He switched his diet while training for a triathlon and really improved his time.
I've also heard the richer and darker the colour of the vegetable the better it is for you. The dark reds and the purples being best.
