Humming/Feedback from Surround Sound?

i have a pioneer surround sound system. i have had it for 3 years now, lately ive noticed there to be a humming/feedback type sound as soon as i turn it on. its gets very annoying. ive tried messing with all the settings and such. nothing works.

i dont know if it has to do with bad wiring in the home, poorly shielded wires or just something else. i know with music equipment poorly shield cables can lead to bleed through of signal. maybe this is the same concept.

any help is appreciated. thanks

You have ground loop problem. Use an isolation transformer. Buy it at a store like Radio Shack. It will cost about $25.

Many times over three years that you've had it some wires get loose and they may be near each other or more likely touching. So look behind all the speakers and the receiver and replug all the wires and be sure they are not touching and are in tightly in their inputs.
