  • Going to my first Renaissance festival, any expectations of how to dress?

ive never been to one and i know a lot of people that go usually have costumes and such but i dont really have one. i guess its kind of a stupid question but is this something that is expected of people or do you just show up how you are?

maybe in time it would be pretty awesome to dress up for something like this though but i wouldnt know where to start on that either.

  • Is it really possible to be addicted to loud music?

going to concerts is on of my favorite things to do. i have been to over 75 (i stopped counting). most of the concerts ive been to are metal/hardcore and obviously these kinds of shows are very loud.

where my problem is, is that feel of seeing a live band i associate with turning my cd player up in the truck really loud. there is nothing like the feeling of listening to Lamb of God or Mastadon on the way to work in the morning. i just dont feel right if i have it down low?

so am i addicted to loud music? i understand that this can and will affect my hearing as i dont want that to happen. i have had success with keeping the music down but still i find myself creeping that dial back up.

or is it possible im trying to relive most of my concert going experiences? (nearly every cd i own especially metal, ive seen that band live)

since the new Real ID came to WoW its been a great improvement i think. i have family and some friends on there with combined total of over 50 characters and now i can cut my list down to just a few names lol.

so has the REAL Id been a good thing for you or do you think its going to end up being a bad system?

also to all my yahoo answer buddies who want to add me to their Real ID message me on my profile for the info.

  • i have Purple/Blue Lines on my Plasma Screen?

    i have a Sylvania 42'' plasma screen.

whenever i watch any movie i notice this wide purple/blueish line that moves from the bottom to the top. i dont know whats causing this.

i have component cables coming from my PS3 to my Monitor, however this issue pre-dates these cables. other than that im not sure what my problem could actually be.

ill be glad to take any suggestions.

  • Humming/Feedback from Surround Sound?

i have a pioneer surround sound system. i have had it for 3 years now, lately ive noticed there to be a humming/feedback type sound as soon as i turn it on. its gets very annoying. ive tried messing with all the settings and such. nothing works.

i dont know if it has to do with bad wiring in the home, poorly shielded wires or just something else. i know with music equipment poorly shield cables can lead to bleed through of signal. maybe this is the same concept.

    any help is appreciated. thanks

  • how come there is such little Christmas Spirit?

it seems that over the last 10 years or so, there has been a decline in a Christmas Spirit.

is it just me or everyone in general?

is it the over saturation from major retail chains like Wal-Mart putting up their Christmas stuff in September, and by the time it gets here people are already sick of it.

  • Maytag Dryer Problems, can it be fixed?

My dryer at home lately has been having a problem with stopping during the cycle. This morning i started a load to check to make sure the dryer was getting hot, it was but when i went to start it back up it just buzzed as if the door was open.

so i check the door, turned the knob to off and hit start it buzzed. i tried a couple different cycles. same thing. the last time i pressed start it buzzed and just stopped. it smelled like melted electronics/plastic.

i checked the electrial panel and nothing was tripped so i unplugged the dryer and im figuring on it shorted out.

is this something that can be fixed or is it best to just get a new one and not waste money patching/repairing the machine?

also if there is something else i could try i would be glad to do it.

  • my dog's food and mice?

i have a poobee (poodle/beagle 20lbs 2 years old), he over the last day has started to look a bit sick. he did throw up yesterday, but has had no diareah or thrown up since. he just looks kinda blah i guess is the best description.

what im wondering is that i did see a mouse run away from his food bowl.

is it possible that he may have gotten sick from the mouse, that we havent noticed over the last few days?

i know it sounds dumb but do dogs even get sick from mice?

there is no vet in this town or for about 60 miles. so i cant just go there, or else i would. i basically needs some info and opinion.

    thanks

  • A couple things about balance druids (WoW)?

i just hit level 80 with my Night Elf Druid yesterday. ive been concentrating all my gear toward Stamina, Intellect, Spellpower and Critical Strike Rating.

right now im criticalling up to 7400.

    what my questions are:

what are some things i can do to become better at battlegrounds?

does purple gear really boost me up that much?

has anyone else noticed that there arent that many balance Druids and if so why?
