    Felt doesn't fray nor does any fabric formed from fibers pressed or felted together. Oilcloth doesn't fray nor does any fabric that's laminated with a sealant. Knit and crocheted fabrics unravel rather than fraying. Some fabrics that are tightly woven and treated with sizing don't fray much--organdy, nylon netting, crinoline, and so on.

    In addition to those already mentioned, t-shirt knits (although some single knits will "dribble" little bits of thread initially). Loden.

    Tightly woven cottons and wools will not fray when cut but will fray like heck during washing.
