Question about Infinity Sound System in 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT Spyder?

Are all 7 speakers linked to the amplifier, or just the two in the doors and the two in the rear? Recently I lost all sound. The stereo still comes on and displays stations, CD tracks, etc. but I get NO sound....not even static. I think the amp blew (would have to be big coincidence for all 7 speakers to blow at once), but replacement is about $700.00 and if there is somewhere else to look first, any advice would be appreciated. NOTE: I am a do-it-your-selfer, so get as technical as you want, I'll understand.

Take out the passenger seat. Disconnect the connectors on the amp and look for corrosion. The carpet transfers wet/salty snow in the Winter and corrodes the connections. If the connectors are good, recheck the fuses. If the amp is bad, either locate a used one from an auto recycler or else buy an after market sound system, it will be cheaper then buying a stock amp new.

2001 eclipse dont contain a three.8L, thats basically the 2006+ 2001 spider gt's contain 200hp 3.0L i've got self belief the mileage is powerful, relies upon what you want to get your self into. convertibles could have alot of high priced maintenance for the gentle precise so in basic terms be careful to look over what your getting on your money
