How to get offshore company to develop an iPhone application for you?

I have a concept (idea) of an application for the iPhone and I would like to get some company to implement my idea. What are my steps? Thanks.

Contact the company and ask how much they want to develop it for you. (Be prepared so you don't have a heart attack - it will cost a LOT of money. No one is going to do it for a share of the profits, of for a few thousand dollars.)

It is very very rare . . . .that the person with the "idea", but no development skills is able to "sell" their idea to a development company.

The problem is that the person with the idea takes no risks and invests no money. The developers work to feed their families and pay their bills. It is near impossible to get people to work with the concept of "if this is a success we both get rich but if it fails, you get nothing".

If you have a great idea, and you have, or can find financial backing to make your idea become real, you have a much better chance.

Try to pitch something environmentally friendly. Apple is working on this so you may beat them to it! Here's more info - http://www.allnaturale.org/2010/06/how-green-is-ne...
