Yes, you should only be giving your baby breast milk or formula at this time. You can start giving water sips at 9 months, but only little sips. Once the baby is a year, you can go to milk and juice etc. Do not give a baby tea. There is caffeine in it! Evennon cafinated tea has some - dont do it - GL!

6 months is too young to drink anything other than formula and/or breast milk. One year is when you can introduce cows milk. But not tea, it contains caffeine!

Edit- No!! No tea. Period. Decaf or not, the answer is still NO. Ask the pediatrician then. But it will still be NO. There is no reason a baby needs tea.

Its not too early. It has to be Caffeine FREE tea only. Like herbal tea or 100% natural fruit tea. Babies can't have caffeine :) I have been giving my son chamomile tea since he was 1 month old to help with gas and stomach aches and he loves it! It is very common practice in all foreign countries to give babies tea instead of fruit juice because it contains less sugar.

Uh...yeah. A child of that age doesn't need anything besides breastmilk or formula. Tea contains caffeine...would you give your child coffee or pop at that age? It's basically the same thing.

Tea has caffeine in it and is unsuitable for babies. Wait till the baby is a teenager.

I think you just have to go by what your own thoughts and feelings about that are.
