Bass cuts out at high volumes?

I have 2 JL 12w3v3s with a Kenwood KAC-9105D amp. Im not sure what Ohms everything is running at but I think its 2. I have a 4 gauge wiring kit and a 1 farad capacator. Can anyone give me advice on how to stop the bass from cutting out at high volume it has been gettin very annoying and I cant enjoy my music.

    if ya have too much boost which ya probably do then the amp probably cant keep up either cause the wiring is not true 4 gauge or your alternatorjust cant put up the recommend current. gains set too high also ??? not sure what its running at??? cmon ya have to know what ya have em wired at. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-zgwkszeLvkF/learn/lea...

    Sounds to me that you don't have your amp set to the wright (Ohms) and your amp is over heating you need to first check to see if your whole car stereo is set to 4ohms if not soon your amp or head unit is going to blow!

    This is the most expensive but yet the basic of all problems when people install car stereos and pros stupidly will do this because they don't care!

    And im quite sure this is your problem....

    If you do have your intire system hooked up to 4ohms then your amp gain is to high!

    You should never set your gain past half way unless you are pro because then your getting into Hz-Khz and that's just to hard to explain even to some pro's out their

    Same thing happened to me, Recheck all your amps wires, and GROUND IT VERY WELL AKA TAKING PAINT OFF WHERE ITS GETTING GROUNDED TOO, if you havent already doen that. But mine was fine after redoing all connections :B

    Or if thats not the case try to Buy a capacitor
