Yahoo has replaced the default avatars with more colorful ones. The color has no meaning and you can't choose one. They are teal, blue, green, orange and purple. You can always create your own cartoon avatar or upload a photo at the Pulse Profile.

It's Yahoo's new default avatar. They've switched from the grey smiley to an exclamation point of a random color.

I don't know what the exclamation point is supposed to alert you to. I assume it's just there to remind you that you need to create an avatar for your account. The exclamation is noticeable and usually indicates something important to the user.

Yeah, i spotted that the different day (: i think of of it somewhat is the nice and comfortable default. Like how in case you hadn't uploaded a private image previously or made a yahoo avatar, you will probable acquire the greyed-out sparkling face. properly now they have have been given an exclamation mark particularly.

becuase they havn't set an avatar yet or uploaded a photo to use as their public photograph.

as you can see, yours is that of a human, because you selected it, or uploaded it.

they have done no such thing, and have been left with the default exclamation mark.

it used to be a grey face, but it has been changed.

    Source(s): looking.

It's the new default avatar that is replacing those gray smiley faces.
