EndNote stopped working in Word 2007?

The crash disable the Endnote "Cite While You Write" (CWYW) Add-in . To re-enable it follow these steps:

• Click on the OFFICE button (top left-hand corner).

• Click WORD OPTIONS (at the bottom right-hand corner).

• From the left pane click on ADD-INS

• At the bottom, in the MANAGE drop-down list, select DISABLED ITEMS and click the GO button.

• The EndNote add-in will show up as "Cite While You Write (endnote cwyw.dll)"

• Select the EndNote add-in and click the ENABLE button

• Click the CLOSE button from the Disabled Items window

• At the bottom of the Word Options window, click OK to save the change.

• Close and re-open Word 2007.

Now EndNote is visible on the ribbon.

If you are not able to enable the ENDNOTE feature using the above steps, then the steps to enable it manually are:

On the desktop:

• Click START >> RUN or press the windows key + R

• In the RUN box type

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\ Common Files\ ResearchSoft\Cwyw\13\ EndNote Cwyw.dll"

WARNING: Before using the above instruction remove these blanks

Instead of Files\ Common it should be Files\Common

Instead of Files\ ResearchSoft it should be Files\ResearchSoft

Instead of 13\ Endnote it should be Files 13\Endnote
