Why do my ears hurt when I run with headphones on?

I think it related to pressure because its a pain similar to the one you get in the plane when it takes off or lands; but why?? And what can I do about it? No one else I know gets it.

Do you have in ear or over ear headphones?

    In ear:

Probably because your earwax is being pushed inside your ear too far. Try cleaning them out or just waiting. You may want to get over-hear headphones with an apparatus that attaches to the outside of your ear.

    Over ear:

Probably soreness from pressure being put on the outside of your ear. This should go away quickly.
