I would prefer the all leather one. Leather is just going to last longer, as well as look nicer than synthetic.
I am 5'4 130 lbs and I like a 16" seat. 15" is fine for me too, but I just like having a little more room with a 16", so it's really just what you prefer.
But I would keep looking around, don't settle until you are sure you know exactly what you want and what will fit your horse correctly.
Happy saddle shopping!

Try buying a nicer leather saddle used. I'm not a fan of synthetics, but I tend to be on the more traditional side.
Look at tack shops in your area for a nice used saddle. Something like a Billy Cook, Circle Y, Courts, Crates, etc. Spend money on a saddle you can try on your horse that fits you and your horse. Look for a barrel saddle or all purpose saddle.
Don't buy cheap, it'll cost you more in the end.

Actually it's the other way around-American Saddlery owns Bighorn along with many other brands. Some of American Saddlery's products are great but the cheaper ones tend to be junk.
For $300 you could find a much nicer, better-built used saddle.

Hi, if your not focusing on any diciplin an particular, I would go with a second hand leather general purpose saddle. Make sure that underneath it isn't damaged though.
Hope this helps :)
