To guys - Why am I putting men off?

Once again I have heard from one of my friends that a guy we know used to really want to go out with me, apparently for around 3 months he had a crush. This is maybe the 3rd time that I have heard this (about different people) and quite often I have been flirting with a guy and he has been flirting back, all of the signs are there that he likes me but... nothing happens. So this is a question to the guys... what's going on? If you liked a girl what would put you off asking her on a date. Maybe if I know what stops guys in general I can work out what it is I'm doing that is putting them off.

Update:

I'm not a teenager, I'm 22.

Assuming you are a teenager, and dealing with teenage boys, there could be several reasons for them not asking you out.

They are usually shy about asking girls they like out on a date, Fear of rejection amongst other things.

They may think you are just being nice and friendly to them, and aren't interested in dating them.

So when you next find a guy you like, and would like to go out with him, give him a bit more encouragement.Say you like them, do a lot more flirting, stand closer to them, touch their arms or their face.

Give them a message, that if they ask you out, you will get the answer they are hoping for. That's a "yes I'd love to"
