Religious People: Why worship God?

Is the God omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful), and omnibenevolent (all-good)?

Some say the God is not omnibenevolent, but righteous, is it true? It certainly breaks some argument about if he is all good, why bad things happen etc.

Still, why worship a God who is not all good? He uses his judgement upon human for what purpose? If he is all powerful, all knowing, why not just make every human being good, take out the evil desires in human beings, then the problem is solved? He has to enslave us and punish us like his puppies if we don't behave, but still telling us he loves us, he would die for us, giving us free will to choose what dog food brand we want to eat.

Do we human still have any dignity left, willing to be ruled by such likely fictitious entity? Because we fear his punishment? or we are just happy to be good behaved dogs under our lord in this universe?

I have no disrespect of your religion(s). This is just a discussion why worship such God or Allah.

Update:

Does "eternal life" worth to be treated like dogs? eternal dogs...sounds weird...

Update 2:

I'm not trying to push my belief on anybody... or annoying anyone... It's just a question. Sorry for offending anyone, but I thought this question is quite rational. or maybe our speech is not free, we are not suppose to talk about God like this at all?

Update 3:

to Don Taylor: very poetic... I love Bible literature. But it does not explain why the "Righteous" God let rich assholes today to bully the poor. Let Dictators exist while let many innocent people die? Bless football players but not children with cancer?

Yes why would an all-loving and all-knowing being allow the eternal fates of his creation be decided in a lifetime that our decisions are largely based on the circumstances in which we find ourselves. Is being accepted by god a simple crap shoot as to who your parents are and which society you are born into? This is one good reason why the ideal that one religion/god is supreme and the rest are wrong, it is a flawed system.

God made us to know him. Like a father and mother that wants to have children to know them and help them. That require free will, if a husband force his wife to marry him then it is not love.

    Psalm 36:6-8

6 Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,

your justice like the great deep.

You, LORD, preserve both people and animals.

7 How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!

People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

    8 They feast on the abundance of your house;

you give them drink from your river of delights.

  • dont go out of your way to get a point across. the thing about religion is everyone is entitled to there own opinion and clearly you dont like it when people try to push beliefs on you, so why do you have to go through the trouble of pulling the same thing. I am not defending any religion myself.. i just find people that do this obnoxious.

You are enslaved by your own sin. God can set you free (in Christ Jesus). All you have to do, is repent (turn away from your sin and turn to God), believe in and follow Him.

God gives us all we need. Material things in this life are unimportant except to love God by helping others. Jesus did NOT promise that there would be no trials and tribulations in this life but he did promise not to leave you or forsake you. Trust in Him.
