receding gums etc please help?

So earlier this year i went to the dentist and she said i have some gum recession on my back molars on the inside edge, she said it was from brushing too hard. I asked if her if it could be from clenching my teeth at night and she said no but i'm not convinced (i have an uneven bite). Because in the time from the last visit i have gotten gum recession on all my molars and some other cutting teeth. This worries me because i brush twice a day, rinse and floss. My gums are thin but this could have something to do with my thin skin in general. My gums look healthy and i'm gentle when i brush (soft tooth brush as well) And lately i have been getting more plaque around my gum line which i never used to get.

I've also been getting pain, in my glands under the jaw, when i drink or produce lots of saliva, my ears hurt and so do my jaws. Please help me, i'm so worried :(

Update:

My arteries are fine :) I'm a vegan and have always even as a child had a low fat diet so i don't think that would be an issue.

I worked as a dental assistant years ago and this is what I learned. Some people make more plaque than others. When it gets down under the gum it calcifies and starts an irritation and eventually gum recedes and and so on. I have assisted in procedures where the gum is layed down and the dentist uncovers calcification and has to scrape it off and then lay the gum back up. It heals and you just have to takee better care. Another thing is when you have a lot of plaque, it tells you something about heart disease they are learning. Lots of placque could be a warning on how your arteries are looking. The two seem to go together. Take care of yourself.
