Christmas Show Help?! (Costumes)?
Hey horse section, I know you love these outfit questions.
Me and My Horse ( A bay arab) are going as a cupcake for the christmas show. There are two other girls doing this with me, one on a chestnut with flaxen mane and tail, the other on a very dark bay connemara. (I think its a connemara - or however you spell :') ) We're all going as different colours, I'm pink, the other two are blue and red
Anyway we need some more ideas to help us with it, so far we have:
- Pink, red and blue ribbons to tie in the horse's tail after being plaited.
- Smaller ribbons for each 'button braid' in our horse's mane, which will also have something pink red or blue in them
- Different coloured numnahs
- Different coloured too toos.
- Spotty tops in the different colours
- Jodpuhs (Different colours)
- Ribbons for our own hair
- Horse-safe glitter
- Paper Mache 'icing' ontop of our hats in the different colours
We need more ideas to make our outfit more wowwww; please leave comments :) xx
I forgot to say, we're also doing special make up (On us, not the horses)
Also, does the specially coloured hoof oil wash off? & Where's it from?
I love the idea about the felt sprinkles!
I probably should of said - I don't want anything too big and fiddly to attatch to my horse, as she's INCREDIBLY spooky, and I have to ride her in the fancy dress, if something went wrong, she'd ruin both our costumes by going crazy, just smal things:)

-How about felt sprinkles? You can make them yourselves and, although yu probably can't stick them directly on the horse, you can stick them on your and/or the tack. There's some really good, industrial tape you can use so it doesn't fall off or you can sew them on.
- You know that white stuff you can get on halloween that supposed to look like spider webs? You could put a little bit of that stuff in your horse's hair to make it look like icing.
- Maybe put a fabric cherry in between their ears.
- Maybe you could surround their barrels with some stuff to look like the wrapping paper around the outside of a cupcake. It would be hard to pull off, but it would look good.
