Advice on Kid-proofing cables ...?
I am due to have a baby in August, so we have plenty of time. I have just been thinking that we are very wired at home. We have a home entertainment area and an office that is just full of chords and cables. What is an easy way to keep my baby from the cables. With all this technology there is a growing need for sockets and I want my child to be safe. Any suggestions?
I live in NZ, so unfortunately North American solutions will not work for me, unless they are universal.

They have a variety of options on baby proofing your house.
I would look in Canadian Tire
Home hardware
Revy
Any baby store should have items.

Put your office equipment with its back to the wall, so the cables are between the wall and the desk. After that, simply don't let your baby play in those rooms. There is no such thing as a 100% safe solution.

Congrats... I wouldn't worry about it until the baby starts to crawl, but then I would definitely consider not having access to those rooms if it's possible. If you don't have a door you can close, a good sturdy child/pet gate will work until he/she gets bigger.
