Tattoo opinion! Help?!?

Question

Just my luck. I've been wanting to get a tattoo since I was about 16 (I'm 20 now). I've always just kind of backed out of it because of job security...I just didn't want it to be an issue when I tried looking for a professional job in the future, but I decided last year I'd get in on the back of my neck, that way I could hide it when I wanted to and show it when I wanted to. Anyway, I knew I wanted "You are beautiful" either in French or in Italian (no particular reason for the language, I just feels it's more elegant) because of personal reasons I will not mention on here I just want to be able to look at it everyday and remind myself that it's true. ANYWAY, long story short, right when I decided I was going to get it, this Kardashian girl comes out on her show wanting to get it there. So now I'm extremely discouraged because people will only think I copied her, even though I didn't and it would mean a lot to me. What do you guys think? Should I still get it? Or will it be dumb now that this girl has made it so "mainstream"?

Thanks to all who have answered but just to clarify, my concern isn't for the location of the tattoo...I know I want the back of my neck and won't change the location whatsoever. It's just the phrase itself that I don't want people thinking I stole just because it came out on the show. :)

The back of the neck has been done by just about ever other celebrity out there, so it's not like you'll be original in picking the location. I think every location has been done by someone, so just go ahead and pick what you want where you want it and to hell with everyone else. 
Also a little note on job security, I'm in management, working for a big brand name chain that has a strict no visible tattoo policy, and I have tattoos on my throat and forearm(not small either), as well as a labret piercing that most employees don't even know about unless they see me outside of work. Collared shirts and sleeves do wonders for a girl like me who hates to compromise her individuality just to conform to what's considered appropriate by society.

do what you want who cares that someone else got it there, besides ALOT of people get tattooed on their backs, youre not the first and wont be the last. besides its more important WHAT you get done not where and the reason behind the ink is always important. besides that its your tattoo and if you customize it NO ONE can ever get the exact same one, so itll all be good

Who caress what people think, this is your "thing" your idea and it has meaning to you. No one cares about what the kardashians do and like you said you have wanted it for a while. Go for it!

If your getting this tattoo for personal reasons then it shouldnt matter if its too "mainstream". Get something that you love and will want forever
