Which state in America is most suitable for intensive outdoor grazing for dairy cows?
Must have high annual pasture yield per acre (ie not too much heat and plenty of rain/irrigation) and a winter period that is not too cold and is relatively short (>3 month with little growth). If you could include the price per acre of such that would be greatly appreciated.

Many people in Wisconsin are intensive grazers. But our state does not fit all your criteria. Winters here are longer than 3 months. You will have close to 6 months without grazing. We can have very hot weather; but something about the water and grass in this state make some of the best milk to make the best cheese. Land prices in this state are running about $3000.00 per acre.
