How to fix the plastic clip that holds the end of a throttle cable to a lawn mower carburetor?

I was trying to remove and clean the carburetor on B&S 6.5hp lawn mower engine when I snapped the little plastic clip on the top of the carburetor that the end of the throttle cable attaches to. I can't see how to take the piece out. Is it replaceable? Please tell me I don't need to replace the entire carburetor to fix this 2 cent piece of plastic!

Update:

I have figured out the plastic piece that connects the throttle cable is part of the throttle shaft. I have no idea how to separate the throttle shaft from the throttle body. B&S lists a part for it (#696565), and I'd be happy to get it, but I need to know how to get the old part out of the throttle body. Any ideas?

Superglue it back then mold some 2 part epoxy putty around the mend.

You have to turn the butterfly valve, and pull the brass valve out of the shaft with needle nose pliers. After you pull the bass valve out of the shaft, the shaft comes out of the carb. You can find the part for $9.00 inc shipping. Put the new shaft in (make sure it is in the correct way) and push the brass valve back in.
