What do I need to major in to be an elementary school teacher?

    It depends upon the state in which you live as to what you need to take. Some states have elementary education majors in which case that is what you take. In some states you can major in many different academic subjects in undergrad and you take your elementary education classes as a graduate student. You will need to talk to your school counselor or look up YOUR state requirements online. Good luck!

    Elementary education, with a licensure you can teach from pre k to 3rd or 4th usually. Although, ECE is very packed at this time.
