I am going to Orlando, what is the best way to get discounts on tickets? (10pts)?

There are some slight discounts I found online, and I've also heard you can get some discounts from local stores in Orlando or at Walmarts in Orlando. Does anybody know how much these tickets sell for? The other thing I heard about is attending high pressure time share sales pitches. The ones I saw online say they are 90 minutes, but I've heard some take like half a day. Is that correct? Are there any that really only take 90 minutes to 2 hrs? My sincere thanks to anybody who can help me out with this matter.

I'll assume you're talking about Disney, Universal, and other major theme parks, there's discount tickets to the minor Orlando attractions but most people can find those on their own. Also, this assumes you don't qualify for one of the discounts found on their official websites, like for the military, or Universal's online discount for multi-day tickets.

The Wal-Marts probably have independent ticket brokers, their discounts aren't going to be any better than what you'd find from AAA or other authorized resellers. Universal and the other big players sell large blocks of tickets to them at a couple dollars' discount. That's it. Nobody else out there has 25% off or half off or whatever. Sorry, but that's just how it is, and that's what you're going to pay.

If you are doing a timeshare presentation, allow at least half a day. Period. This means all sorts of dead time in there that doesn't count towards the "official" pitch limit. Those people paid full price for those tickets, and they aren't handing them over without giving you a full court press. Also, they've become much tighter in the past few years so you'll have to qualify for the timeshare pitch. That means minimum income of at least $50,000 (usually more), married or cohabiting, good credit, blah, blah blah. Most people who could really use cheap tickets don't qualify for them. In return you'll probably get less tickets than you need for your vacation, and you can't use them for upgrades.

If you want discounts on tickets, use the places listed on mousesavers.com. Those are all authorized resellers with those small discounts. That is the absolute best advice for anyone. Tickets for the major theme parks cost a lot of money, and there is no way around that.

If you want to save money on Orlando theme parks buy multi-day tickets, the more days you get the cheaper it is per day. If you want to visit "all the parks" and do a couple of days at Disney, a couple at Universal, and a couple at Sea World, you'll pay a lot more than you would if you stuck with one set of parks.

Hi. There are many minor ticket places located all around orlando but you could also purchase tickets off of Craiglist.com, kijiji.com or ebay.com/ebay.ca. Myself, I find that the minor ticket places are a tad bit pricey but it might work for you. I went to a time share at 10:00 AM and actually left around 4:30 PM it was pretty insane but it is up to you in the end. The time share people can be VERY persistent at times so beware.

Good luck and have fun!! :)
