Nearly 8 years since my dad has passed, is it time to see a medium?

Today while at work an older gentleman came to my register with his wife and he was wearing a tank top exposing a tattoo on his left shoulder. Having recently getting one on my foot in memory of my dad since he would have been 50 this year, I was staring at the artwork when I realized, my father had the exact same tattoo in the exact same spot. I believe in Spirits and I believe in the Paranormal, but was my dad trying to contact me or was it just some random coincidence. I was also recently talking with my grandmother about wanting to see a Medium to get closure while she suggested I see a Psychic because she feels I need some guidance because in her eyes I'm very undecided in life.

My grandpa died 11 yrs ago on May 26, a day after my b-day. On Friday (my b-day) A friend from work game me work gloves, because my grandma is moving. They were the same exact gloves my g-pa used to wear. Yes, I think it was a sign from him. I believe our loved ones let themselves be known through signs, definitly. BUT on the "medium" thing...just BE CAREFUL!! Most of the "mediums" are there just to take ur money. IF u go to someone, do your research, and make sure you talk to people who have gone to him/her. Personally, I think it is VERY hard to find a real one (I don't think they are real..but who really knows?). PLUS..see a councelor, NOT medium if u need direction. Good Luck!!

"Psychics" are not what they claim to be - at least that's what all the evidence says. Some are frauds, some are just deluded. But when put to proper controlled testing, they ALL fail.

There would be millions and millions of people with tattoos - you are very likely to come across someone who has one in the same spot as your dad. Humans are natural pattern seekers - you are also likely to put some significance to such coincidences.

By visiting a "psychic" or medium you risk them changing/embellishing your cherished memories of your dad, by giving you false or made up information. Beware the "Cold Reading" trick.

If you want to see a psychic because it will make you feel better, go right ahead. No law against that, so go for it.

Just be sure to take note of the "for entertainment purposes only" disclaimer on all their ads.

I believe in lots of weird and 'supernatural' stuff, but not psychics. Too many have been busted as frauds, and I've never even once heard about a psychic winning the lottery.

I wouldn't, but here is my opinion all mediums/psychics are fake its just a form of magic. They say something general like, has a relative recently passed away? This is all just my opinion but if you want to get one that's your decision and at least get a higher end one that really cares for you and wants you to hear from your dad again. best of luck

No. It´s time to study the Bible. The Bible says that the dead are conscious of nothing at all. (Ecclesiastes 9:5-10; Psalm 146:3, 4)

The dead that are in God´s memory, are in an unconscious state, waiting for the resurrection in the near future. (John 5:28, 29)

People who believe in the immortality of the soul fall prey to demons. Demons mislead people by encouraging them to inquire of the dead. People grieving over the death of a loved one are often deceived by wrong ideas about those who have died. A spirit medium may give special information or may speak in a voice that seems to be that of a dead person. As a result, many people become convinced that the dead are really alive and that contacting them will help the living to endure their grief. But any su ch “comfort” is really false as well as dangerous. Why? Because the demons can imitate the voice of a dead person and give a spirit medium information about the one who died. (1 Samuel 28:3-19) Moreover, the dead have ceased to exist. (Psalm 115:17) So “anyone who inquires of the dead” has been misled by wicked spirits and is acting contrary to the will of God. (Deuteronomy 18:10, 11; Isaiah 8:19) Therefore, be careful to reject this dangerous bait used by the demons.
