How would my cat handle a dog?
I may be able to get a German Shepherd puppy. If I do how would my 8 year old male cat respond and how would I introduce the puppy to the cat? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you :)

It depends. Cats and dogs can be enemies to each other or they can be really good friends. It depends of the type of dog/cat. Look on the new Yahoo article about that. I would say introduce them by scent, then when they get used to the other dogs/cats scent, then introduce them by sight. So they can see each other.

I have a German Shepherd (5 years old purebred) and i also have a car who was 3 at the time when we brought the dog home and they completely hate each other, of course it all depends on the personality of your animals because i have a friend who had a ton of cats and dogs and they get along just fine! So the only way for you to find out is to have them both meet. Hope I helped:)

Depends on the cat and dog. Some will be fine, some will not. Some may be skittish at first, but learn to get along.
