I don't drink coffee, but I want to get a machine that can make hot tea or cocoa?

I'm going to college soon, and some of my coffee-drinking friends are getting themselves Kurig coffee-makers! I would buy one, however, I don't drink coffee and think it would be a waste. Are there any sort of machines that are possibly cheaper than a Kurig that can just boil water and dispense it into a mug? Or should I just buy a small coffee machine?

You can buy an electric kettle that heats up water or there are other brands of single serve coffee makers on the market.

I think they make less expensive or even generic versions of the kureig. While the kureig machine is primarily coffee you can buy special tea k cups and hot cocoa ones to go in the machine.

i would say splurge on the kurig because it makes a variety of teas and i think hot cocoa too i no it makes hot cocoa though and i no some ppl like milk in their hot cocoa so u could put milk in it after i have the kerig because my dad drinks coffee i dont but it has come in handy a lot for me and they have small versions in it and the make speacilty cups where u can put the bag of tea in the cup and make a tea that you like that they might not make promise me they r worth it.
