Can this RAM run on a Haswell system?

Hi,

I want to build a PC and this is the best RAM for the money I could find:

http://www.playtech.co.nz/afawcs0139235/CATID=254/...

However, it says here that it's motherboard system chipset is:

Intel P67

Intel H67

Intel H61

Intel P55

lntel H55

Intel X48

Intel P45

Intel X38

It doesn't say if they are compatibel or not, i.e if those chipsets are a MUST.

Can I still put this RAM in my haswell system? Will there be any set-backs or problems?

Thanks for reading!

P.S I will be using either an H81, B85 or H87 chipset.

The best way to find out what memory will go with the motherboard you choice is to choice the motherboard and then go to that manufactures website, find that particular motherboard and go to it's specifications, there you will see a tab that says memory compatibility. From there you will see the QVL ( Qualified venders list ) the list will have all the memory that manufacture has tested for that motherboard.

I will give you an example: The GIGABYTE GA-H87-D3H

Here is the link to Gigabytes website

    Link: http://www.gigabyte.us/

If you look at the top you will see at tab that says ( Products ) hover over it and a dropbox will come down. Click on "Motherboard".

Here is the next screen you should be on.

    Link: http://www.gigabyte.us/products/main.aspx?s=42

To the left side of the screen you will see all the Intel socket types, click the "LGA1150" tab, and this is the next screen you should see.

    Link:http://www.gigabyte.us/products/list.aspx?s=42&jid...

Click on the H87 tab in the square boxes close to the top of the screen. another box will appear . Find the specific motherboard you are wanting. In this case it is the "GA-H87-D3H" click on that tab and this screen will appear.

    Link: http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?...

If you scroll down to were see multiple tabs starting with "Overview", the Specifications, then right after that you will see "CPU/Memory support & downloads " this is were you will find the QVL list. click on the tab and you should see two things highlighted in red, "CPU Support list" and "Memory Support list". Click on Memory support list, click America and this screen is the final screen you will see.

    Link: http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Memory/mb_mem...

This is a full list of every memory that the manufacture has tested for that motherboard.

Every manufacture has this for their motherboards on their websites.

Note: I'm a big supporter of G.Skill memory and I do believe that memory that you chose will work just fine with Haswell motherboards, but just to be on the safe side I gave you the guide to help you so you do know for a fact which memory are supported by the motherboard you end up choosing.

    Hope this helped you,

That's pretty "low end" ram. It wasn't designed for "gaming" hence they don't "show" the higher end chip sets. it is DDR3 so it should work Especial in those lower end chip sets.
