    Are you being serious?

The United States of America is a republic. The current president is Barack Obama. He is currently serving his second term in office. His wife is the First Lady and her name is Michelle.

July 4, 1776 marks the day that the US declared independence from the British monarchy. The first president, George Washington, decided that the person in charge of the country would not be a monarch, but an elected president.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is a constitutional monarchy. The current monarch is Queen Elizabeth II. She is monarch for life. In the UK monarchs do not retire.

The UK has a monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. The USA doesn't have a king or a queen. We fought a war back in the late 18th century to get out from under the British Crown.

You might have heard of it: the Revolutionary War? George Washington, the Declaration of Independence, and all that?

In the UK, the government isn't run by the Queen (or the King, when they have a king). It's run by the Prime Minister. The monarch is the head of state. In the US, we combine the head of state and head of government in one person, who is our president.

There is no King of America (owing to absence of monarchy - which is how it works in a republic). The head of state is the President Barack Obama - the first lady is his wifey Michelle.

There is currently no King of the United Kingdom (as the last king only had daughters, his eldest ascended the throne to become Queen Elizabeth II. She is married to a Prince.)

Her eldest child has the title Prince of Wales; he will eventually succeed her and become the next King.

Easy. The Queen is the one with white hair and a crown, and Obama wears neat suits with no crown.

Without a crown you're no King, right?

Let's make it easier, if you live in the home of Doctor Who and Harry Potter, then yo live in the UK. If you live in the home of Die Hard and Lethal Weapon then you're living in the USA. Got it?

    Hope it helps! ;)

There are kings in America but it's just they call em' presidents, and they take it in turns every 4 years.

I mean they all can't be da king. It sorta went "I'm the king, no I'm the king, no,no i's the king I tell ya....

Ok will take it in turns.

Hence a new political system was born.

    The first to do so....

    I believe.

Ask a policeman where you are, he'll help you to get this puzzle sorted out. But, he might have to engage the help of a couple of doctors and send you to a nice comfortable big house with many white coated men and women who will also help you solve the riddle of which country you are in.

England, Scotland and Wales are UK. UK has Queen but Prime Minister practically run the country. Prime Minister is elected by the people but Queen or King is passing down by the family. US do not have King or Queen. Obama is just another elected President who run the country for a specific time. He does run US forever. Hope this explain it.
