For 5 years I've had pains in my ribs, they come and go not very frequently. Should I talk to my doctor?
It first started when I was a freshman in high school. I'm 19 years old now.
It basically feels like I have horrible cramps in the muscles between my ribs. Massaging doesn't help, only bruises. Breathing normally hurts, a lot.
But then the cramps will go away and it's like it never happened in the first place. No leftover soreness, like when I get a charlie horse. I currently have this cramp as I'm typing this question. I was wondering if I should call my family doctor to get this checked out, if it's serious enough.
Usually when it happens, I think it's because of whatever bra I'm wearing, so I unhook it. It relieves some pain, but not enough to make it stop hurting to breathe. So, I've ruled out the idea of it being a bra that causes this cramp, as I wear one every day and if it was the bra it would be happening every day.
If anyone else could offer up explanations or advice it would be much appreciated

Go to the doctor. This same thing happens to me all the time, I'm only in 8th grade. Whenever I explain it to people they have no idea what I'm talking about. I hope you find your answers cos I want some too!
