Community fish tank ideas? For 150L/33G?

Hi!

I m upgrading from a 60L tank to a 150L (can t remember measurements but it s a long rectangle shape).

I currently have 4 platies, 1 opaline gourami (1.5 inch long), 11 neon tetras and 1 male guppy. Also 26 platy fry in a breeders net.

What are some fish I could add to this mix for the 150L tank? And any tips on transferring the fish, water etc? I have the correct filter, heater etc for the tank too :)

Thanks in advance!

    Fish Tank Ideas

Honestly, I think you're at full capacity as is. You could probably add a few more male guppies, but otherwise you're fully stocked and was just very overstocked before.

As far as transferring fish, I'd probably go with the drip acclimation. You add the fish to a bucket with some old tank water, create a slow siphon by putting some knots in some airline tubing, and letting it drip for several hours into the bucket. It allows the fish to get used to the new tank water without shocking them. After that you can get rid of all the old tank water.

I'd run the old filter alongside the new filter for at least a month, that way the new filter has time to grow it's own beneficial bacteria. Or, you could just transfer the old filter media to the new filter, that works too.
