What fish could I add to this mix?

Hi everyone, I have a 150L (40 gallon) tank with:

1 opaline gourami

2 Platies

11 neon tetras

What can I add to this mix? I d love some colourful fish or maybe a couple of clown loaches? Please make a bunch of suggestions!

Thanks :-)

clown loaches get to 12 inches, so no on those.

but there are many loaches you could get that stay smaller. each species should be in a shoal of 5 or more.

zebra loaches, zodiac or yoyos come to mind, you should look them up, and then find out what your petstores can order for you.

Other options are a school of cherry barbs, gold barbs, or Odessa barbs.

or a school of rainbow fish, wich come in many colors and sizes, so once again find out what your petstores can get or will order for you, Boesmani and turquoise are both beautiful, and becoming common. Dont go buy the color they are at the store, with will normally be prett drab. These fish get brighter and brighter as they grow , and with better food, like frozen bloodworms, shrimp and daphnia. My boesmani rainbows loved crickets

I think Rhummynose tetras or Serpae tetras would look nice in that set up! I love opaline gourami! Nice choise!
