Why did yahoo give level 7 users the ability to modify questions category?

Yahoo terminated VOTING for best answer on March 20, 2024 because voting had been bused to death. To reward the level 7 accounts for their patience and persistence in participating in the YA community, Yahoo rewarded level 7 accounts with the ability to move questions to other categories.

ALL account levels can move their own questions.

who knows. I have experienced the same problem. We can always edit where the question goes ourselves.

Because Y! Answers went to using an algorithm that places the questions instead of letting the submitter choose the category. The algorithm does a terrible job, so they allowed the "experienced" ones, Level 7, to move the questions. Of course, that allows the Level 7's to do whatever else they want with any given question as well.

Corporate America hates the little guy. Vote left wing in 2020 or keep suffering

level 7 users who do that mischievously are generally people who spammed their way to level 7 with multiple accounts not the decent level 7 people who care about yahoo answers, they should be reported and banned if you see that they have multiple accounts

Because they're too lazy to put questions in the correct categories so they make Level 7s do their laundry for them.

This is a major turn-on for these users...

Yahoo was too cheap to fund moderation of Y!A. I guess they figured someone who went through the Y!A trenches could be trusted with categorizing questions.
