St Patrick's Day is surprisingly popular all over England. ... You don't have to be Irish to celebrate St Patrick's Day in England and around the UK. In London they've been celebrating St. Patrick's day for 70 years (as of 2019) The festivals and parades in some of Britain's biggest cities seem to get bigger every year.

From the history I know (which is just fringe) I would imagine not.

I didn't watch that Mel Gibson movie that is so famous but I DID just visit England this last October.

Europe is very particular about things.
