So how was DNA formed? Did it come from dirt or was it created by God?

Since all gods are myths it had to come about naturally.

Everything was created by God. DNA shows just how marvelous our creator really is by it's unique details for each individual person.

It comes from God.

DNA required intelligence to be formed. When Watson and Crick discovered the structure of DNA in 1953, it was realized that the specification for life is 'written' on huge macromolecules using an elegant genetic language having an alphabet of just 4 'letters'. Information is stored on DNA molecules, transcribed on to RNA molecules and translated into proteins (the work-horses of the living cell). The processes of storage, transcription and translation closely mimic an advanced human language, involving codes, syntax and semantics.

This 'language of God' (as Francis Collins, leader of the Human Genome Project, calls it) is present in all living systems and, without it, no life would be possible. It follows that the essence of life resides not in chemistry but in information and communication - things that can only be the product of intelligence - not chance - and which the hypothesis of God would lead us to expect.

DNA like water is simply a molecular compound. This is why sometimes people are born with deformities, extra limbs, missing limbs, etc. If we had to give credit to a God for those mistakes of nature, God would not look so Godlike.

The Bible says God created the dirt and then He took the dirt and formed it into a man. God's Bible is the most powerful thing on this earth. God's Word will be on this earth when everything else is gone. It is God's Word the Holy Bible that changes the hearts and minds of mankind. Neither a man nor a scientist will ever convince me that God is not the Creator of All. I've lived over 70 years seeing His hand in my life.

You don't know a thing about organic chemistry, do you?

DNA developed probably from RNA before cells as we know them evolved. Just because we might not know how it originated yet does not mean it came from a being for which there is no evidence. "We don't know, therefore God" is the god of the gaps argument and the trouble with that, as Stephen Hawking pointed out in "A Brief History of Time", is that the more and more we learn, the less and less room there is for gods.

Dirt contains DNA so it certainly did not come 'from' it.
