You either get a four year degree in Finance or you get hired as an entry level weekend teller at a small community bank.

Those are the ONLY WAYS to meet the job requirements for a finance job.

Do you have a 4 year degree in finance? One or two solid internships? A good GPA? Any finance work experience?

Focus on getting a position that's required to have to apply for that wanted position. Without it in your background you're just spinning your wheels.

So, I went back through your previous questions and I think I have found the issue. You asked 8 months ago to compare two different analyst positions, I answered that one too.

I went a little further back and note that you likely failed a GED math exam at some point or you were concerned about failing it. I'm sorry as this is going to sound rude, but you might not be smart enough for a finance job. The fact that you also asked whether you should list your MBA and your Bachelors on your resume...sorry, but do you even have a job now? Of course you list both, and you might also list high school (I wouldn't in your case; you have an MBA and obtained a GED.

Can you handle the work of an analyst? You may have been a knucklehead when you were younger and straightened out, but Analyst work is not easy. Some people study finance and get MBAs, but you will work with people with Masters and PhDs in things like Math, Statistics, Economics, etc...you have an MBA...how do you find interacting with those sorts of people in a work environment?

To finish, try lowering your expectations and consider an internship. That's the best path to a job in finance, especially for someone in your situation.

If your MBA is from a top 25 finance school, that would probably be enough to get you an interview most places...
