Automotive Emissions Testing?
I brought my car in for an emissions test today & the state stated if failed the test because the car has not been driven enough since the last test. The car is like new but because of the low mileage it automatically fails. Has anybody ever heard of this? I'm given 2 more months to put a few more thousand miles on it or it's off the road permanently.

Someone must have cleared the computer, thinking that gives a leg up on all testing- wrong. Did you disconnect the battery recently, or have it go dead? That would make it not ready for testing until a certain amount of driving. There are many you tubes on readying a car, resetting it's drive cycles. Look it up for your specific car and do what it says do. Testing a car doesn't change its test readiness.

That's not the case. The "readiness tests" have to be completed before you can go through emission testing. Evidently you either erased the codes in the PCM recently or you had the battery disconnected.
Do a search for readiness tests on youtube to better understand what's going on.

You have not named the US State to research it. It doesn't make sense because old cars can get new engines.
