How would you feel if your friend went behind your back to tell your Doctor something about you that your Dr wasn't already aware of?
What if that information could be just what the Dr's and Specialists need to know, in order to find out exactly what is wrong with you, and treat it correctly.
Would it matter that it was in your best interests, or would you simply see it as deception?

It would have to be unquestionably something in the nature of saving a life otherwise it would be better to discuss with your friend first what you would tell the doctor.

What if they were lying?
A person has done this to me, but they lied. They didn't want to be found out about something they were doing, and wanted to preemptively strike. How they would think I'd mention them in a counseling session, who knows?
