Do you think the Gatwick Express should be upgraded to high speed rail?
Gatwick Express runs rail non stop rail services between Gatwick Airport, London Victoria and Brighton. If Gatwick Express is upgraded to high speed rail, this can allow trains to run faster services at a faster speed from London to Brighton via Gatwick.

Even if this could be done, saving say 6 minutes is not worth spending billions of pounds.

No. The existing lines are too congested to speed up the current service which takes 28 to 32 minutes from London Victoria to Gatwick. There is no space at the London end of the line to build high speed tracks and the cost would be enormous
